Congratulations to all runners that took on and completed the third Bloomberg Square Mile Relay at the Dubai International Financial Centre - check out the full results here.
89 teams from the city’s biggest businesses took to the start line but it was Elevision Media that won the race, completing their 10 laps of the one-mile (1.6km) course in a time of 1:01:07 to lift the coveted trophy and become the ‘fastest firm in the city’!
Competing fiercely for top spot were Gardaworld and Emirates Steel, coming in just behind Elevision Media in a time of 1:01:21 and 1:03:25 respectively. Individually, the fastest runner, Mohamed Belal from team Emirates Steel, completed the one-mile route in an incredible time of 5:16. JLL were the winners of the Fastest Mixed Team award, now in its second year, beating 34 other mixed teams with a time of 1:09:28.
Dubai was the first city of 2018 to host the Bloomberg Square Mile Relay Global Race Series and the baton still needs to be taken up by 10 other cities including, Sydney, New York, Tokyo, Paris, San Francisco, London, Shanghai, Sao Paulo, Singapore and Hong Kong! The baton is now being handed to Sydney who race on 12th April, but challenge your international counterparts and see who can run their city the fastest!
We look forward to welcoming back all our runners in 2019 for another record-breaking year.
