Congratulations to all runners that took on and completed the seventh edition of the Bloomberg Square Mile Relay in Singapore - check out the full results here.
Our runners all went The Extra Mile for our charity partner, SportCares. 25% of the team entry fees contributed to the total donation of S$45,572 from the Bloomberg Square Mile Relay, which will help fund a year-round project based on the winning cause – Access & Inclusion.
148 teams from Singapore’s biggest businesses took to the start line but it was Macquarie that took the title once again, completing their 10 laps of the one-mile route in a time of 53:16 to lift the coveted trophy and become the ‘fastest firm in the city’!
Competing fiercely for top spot were Standard Chartered and Credit Agricole coming in just behind Macquarie in a time of 54:18 and 1:00:00 respectively.
The winners of the new 'Fastest Female Team' award was Macquarie 2 in a time of 1:13:48. Also victorious on the night was GIC Pte Ltd who beat 67 other mixed teams to walk away the winners of the 'Fastest Mixed Team' award with a time of 1:02:10. Individually, the fastest runner Ashley Miles from Macquarie completed the 1.6km route in an incredible time of 4:52.

The Extra Mile
In 2019 Sportcares received a donation of S$45,572 to deliver a year-long programme on the issue of Access and Inclusion.
When you run with purpose, you run The Extra Mile – our unique program that makes a tangible social difference to your city, which will last long after the teams cross the finish line.
Simply by participating in the race, 25% of your team’s race fee will be donated to The Extra Mile program in Sydney, which will support and promote projects over the next year using the power of sport and physical activity. The best part is, you get to help decide where funds go by choosing a cause you care about and running for it. When you complete your personal profile on our website you will choose one of three cause to run for. Then, on race night, your lap in the Bloomberg Square Mile Relay won’t just be for your team, but also for The Extra Mile cause you selected.
The cause with the quickest average time will win a minimum donation of US$20,000, which our partner charity will use to address the winning cause across a yearlong project. More information on the charity partner and the chosen causes for 2020 will be announced shortly.
