Congratulations to all runners who took on and completed the Bloomberg Square Mile Relay in Sao Paulo! - check out the full results here. It was the sixth race here in São Paulo and the seventh race in the 2024 Global Race Series!
Over 120 teams from the city’s biggest businesses took to the start line but it was ITAÚ UNIBANCO Geral that retained their 2019 and 2022 title, completing their 10 laps of the one-mile course in a time of 55:35 - they remain the fastest firm in the city!
Competing fiercely for top spot were Itaú AM in second place with a time of 57:34 and BTG CAPITAL who came third with a time of 58:04.
The fastest female team were Racing Queens with a time of 1:22:59 and Itau Unibanco Misto took the ‘fastest mixed team’ award on the night.
Individually, the fastest runners were Marcella Falcao and Nicolas Pereira.

The Extra Mile
Global Community. Local impact.
Every participant in the race will be able to make an impact through our community program, The Extra Mile. The Extra Mile addresses unique social challenges in communities where we live and work, through three philanthropy pillars: Education, Public Health and Social Justice & Equality.
Every mile run will contribute towards raising a USD$30,000 donation by the end of the event, which will be donated to The Extra Mile partner in São Paulo, Instituto Esporte & Educação. Through your participation we are working towards getting thousands of girls into education through sport and physical activity.
The Instituto Esporte & Educação is a Non-Governmental Organisation, whose objective is to increase access to physical activity and sports through educational methods in low income communities.
We also encourage all participants to Go The Extra Mile beyond their participation, and register for our free-to-access Square Mile Club, where every point earned through your activity will further contribute to making a lasting and tangible impact at a global level.
