Last year, Macquarie once again took the coveted title in a time of 54:04, outrunning more than 130 other teams. Competing fiercely for first place were Saxo Capital Markets and Standard Chartered Bank coming in just behind Macquarie in a time of 55:42 and 56:31 respectively. Individually, the fastest runner Ned Needham, from Pagegroup, completed the 1.6km route in an incredible time of 4:55. Sportcares Foundation were the inaugural winners of the Fastest Mixed Team award, with a time of 1:05:41.
More than 1,300 runners took part in the fourth annual Bloomberg Square Mile Relay, racing through to the Lion City's financial district. Check out the full results here.
Check out the route that the runners took for the fourth race in Singapore in 2016. The route was completely revamped to take full advantage of Singapore’s stunning skyline as runners navigate tight turns, sharp bends and flights of stairs.

We have evolved the charity element of the race to reinforce our commitment to giving back to the communities that we run in. Runners’ participation in the Bloomberg Square Mile Relay will help fund a local project in partnership with Habitat for Humanity Singapore. Runners can also volunteer with the local Square Mile Relay community to participate in the project.
The collective effort of 7500+ runners across 10 cites will positively impact our global community of race cities, reinforcing Bloomberg’s long-standing commitment to strengthen and improve lives in the communities where we live and work.
