Congratulations to everyone who took on and completed the Bloomberg Square Mile Relay 2017, which saw Macquarie take the title in a time of 53:38, setting the city record and outrunning more than 50 other teams to lift the coveted trophy and become the ‘fastest firm in the city’!
Competing fiercely for top spot were last year's winners J.P.Morgan and Virgin Active finishing the 10 mile relay race in a time of 55:04 and 56:15 respectively. Individually, the fastest runner Jack Stapleton from iQ Group Global completed the one-mile route in an incredible time of 4:26.
Consolidated Press Holdings were the inaugural winners of the Fastest Mixed Team award, with a time of 1:00:58.
More than 500 runners from Sydney’s biggest businesses took part in the second annual Bloomberg Square Mile Relay racing through the city’s financial district. Check out the full results here.
The baton is now being handed to New York who race on 4th May, so challenge your international counterparts and see who can run their city the fastest!
Set amidst the unique urban setting of Darling Harbour runners will set off from Tumbalong Park and challenge each other for position as they twist and turn their way through the exciting, unique one-mile course that will take participants through buildings, along bridges, and into the surrounding pathways before returning back to the Race Village.
