One Team. Ten Runners. One Mile Each.
The Bloomberg Square Mile Relay is returning for a third year on Thursday, 12th April 2018! This annual corporate event, will feature a unique route around the brand new Barangaroo Reserve overlooking the harbour offering spectacular views as sun sets.
The Bloomberg Square Mile Relay is not your ordinary running race. Each corporate team has 10 runners, all of whom will run the stunning one-mile course, starting and finishing from the event village in Barangaroo, racing to become the ‘fastest firm in the city’.
Last year, 55 teams from Sydney’s biggest businesses took part in the relay, and corporations will not only gear up to compete for the coveted relay trophy in 2018, but also to enjoy the fantastic team bonding and networking opportunities at the event. Team entries are not yet open, but register your interest today!
The relay culminates with a fantastic celebration and 'After-Party', open to all runners and spectators at the Race Village in Barangaroo Reserve where the night kicks off with a live DJ as the sun sets and race results come in. Runners are able to enjoy complimentary hospitality (including dinner and drinks) as part of their race entry, but additional hospitality packages can be bought by colleagues, friends or family so everyone can join in the fun and receive the same VIP treatment!
How fast can #WeRunThisCity?
Set amidst a unique and reinvented urban setting, runners will set off from Barangaroo Reserve and challenge each other for position as they twist and turn their way through the exciting, unique one-mile course taking participants through the park, around the western waterfront of Sydney’s CBD and into the surrounding pathways before returning back to the Race Village.
More details and a map of the 2018 one-mile course will be available soon.
New South Wales 2000,
The Bloomberg Square Mile Relay “Extra Mile” programme launched in 2017 and was a new initiative to help fund local projects in each city where the race is held and to create a volunteering day for all race participants and Bloomberg employees. This programme reinforces Bloomberg Square Mile Relay's commitment to giving back to the communities where each race takes place, and fulfils the desire to leave a legacy in each city.
The collective effort of 7500+ runners across 10 cites will positively impact our global community of race cities, reinforcing Bloomberg's long standing commitment to strengthening and improving lives in the communities were we live and work.
