October date confirmed for Bloomberg Square Mile Relay Singapore

The Bloomberg Square Mile Relay will be returning to The Promontory @ Marina Bay in Singapore for the seventh time on Thursday, 17 October 2019.

Having debuted in 2013, The Bloomberg Square Mile Relay is well established in Singapore, having been the first city outside of London to host the annual corporate relay race. Last year’s event was the biggest relay of 2018, with 1,650 runners from 165 teams taking to the start line.

The race sees teams of 10 runners representing their company running 1 mile (1.6km) each against rival companies in a relay format with the winner being crowned the fastest in their city and 25% of all race entries fees go towards The Extra Mile partner; SportCares, to help create common spaces and curate sport experiences for underprivileged children in Singapore.

Singapore was the biggest Bloomberg Square Mile Relay event of 2018.

Reigning champions, Macquarie have had firm grip on the Singapore title in recent years as they have been the fastest team for the last six years, fending off challenges from Norges Bank Investment Management, Standard Chartered Bank and Saxo Capital Markets in recent years.

It was our first race outside of London and last year it was our biggest race in terms of entries and team numbers. The race always receives an extremely warm welcome in Singapore and we’re excited to be heading back again in October.
